Ease of system expansion and transition to IMS

The system can support up to 32 doors and up to 32 independent intercom points. Building such a system can take place in stages, and the expansion of the system means connecting further controllers and appropriate equipment to the control buses and intercoms. An additional advantage of the system is the possibility of an easy “transition” to the Integrated Management System without loss of installed equipment and no need to change the configuration of the switchgear.

In practice, this change consists of splitting the Pass Control System control bus into two parts:

  • controlling the intercom system (intercom controllers) and leaving it as part of the Pass Control System as an intercom system,
  • controlling in the IMS system (controllers supervising passageways) and on “connecting” the control bus to the main position of the Integrated Management System.
