TE / Digit metal detectors and their narrower version TE / SL are intended mainly for use in the textile industry to detect metal impurities directly in or on fabrics. These metal detectors are also great in the food, chemical and paper industries. The main task of TE / Digit and TE / SL metal detectors is to protect expensive industrial machines from destruction, so their operation consists in immediately stopping the production process after detecting a metal object on the line. The detectors offer a high level of sensitivity, independent of the travel speed of the product being tested, and high resistance to interference occurring in an industrial environment. Detectors allow the detection of both magnetic and non-magnetic metals.
